Aria designed, developed and fabricated seven of these tourist trams for service in Honolulu. JTB, the tour operator, wanted to transform their trams from mere transportation to an amusement park experience. The client’s desire was for a playful, toy-like statement; the vehicle should be more about entertainment than transportation. Extensive modifications were required to turn the Ford E-350 chassis into the Oli Oli tram. In all, Aria completed seven of the trams, which are currently in service in Honolulu. The first Oli Oli tram was delivered in time for the Honolulu Festival Parade.
