Aria Group was retained by Rod Millen to help develop the Pennzoil Toyota Tacoma racing truck which would go on to win the 1998 and 1999 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb event in Colorado. Aria Group built a computerized surface model of the truck which was then analyzed by aerodynamicist Dr. Joseph Katz. A quarter-scale polyurethane-foam model was produced to ensure that the computer model would translate well into a solid form. After verifying the suitability of the shape, Aria then cut the full-size body molds directly from the digital surface data.
